The Delos Carré is a completely modular umbrella that can be dismantled quickly, without special tools. From the base mounting, the canopy (one seamless piece), handle or shaft are all replaceable. The Carré Delos is the only umbrella that customers can repair in seconds.
The artist's biography
Elisabeth Rougé was born in Provins, in the Seine-et-Marne department, on 30 June
1961. She has an innate talent for painting. She inherited the sensitivity of her mother,
who was an artist, and the rationality of her father, who was a mathematician. She is a
highly qualified computer engineer, who worked in the aerospace industry for ten years,
before joining a computer company. She has been working as a computer graphics artist
in Toulouse for the last 14 years.
When she was 18, Elisabeth developed a passion for painting and enjoyed copying
Renaissance engravings. This taste for painting stuck and has never left her. “I paint
because I need to, it’s vital, like an urge. I draw my strength from it; it’s my portion of
freedom.” Elisabeth produced other copies of classical works, then works by Klimt, Van
Gogh, Gauguin, Modigliani, Andy Warhol, Lichtenstein, etc.
“I am optimistic, like my paintings.” Her paintings extol a joie de vivre. Elisabeth is
epicurean and modest; she has no head for business, nor the least vanity. She does
not sell her work, and only exhibits very rarely. “I don’t sell, it’s not my thing. On the
other hand, I love pleasing my friends and family by giving them my paintings.”
